Edinburgh Counselling Ministries…. A snapshot….

1. A Gracious and Loving God who chooses to use us as instruments of peace and healing.
2. A committed team of counsellors who give their time and energy cheerfully and consistently and for free. Pray for strength and quality time with God to refresh and refuel them. Taking other’s burdens can be hard work!
3. Finances - an income averaging £10 per session (in practice £5-£20, depending on client income) which is given to ECM after each session. Most of our clients do pay even though we do not turn them away if they cannot pay.
4. A lovely old house (yes this one!) which is peaceful and provides the right environment for healing.

1. Babs, who is leaving us on 18th of April to start up a counselling service at Holy Trinity Church with Kenny Borthwick. She will be sadly missed as she is very experienced in prayer ministry as well as counselling and has been greatly used to release captives and heal broken people.
2. Clear direction for future work with Lothian Buses and Carrubbers plus resources to match (counsellors etc)
3. A continuing commitment to being part of a team, not just lone working counsellors with regards to time and energy.
4. For Judith – who is trying to manage the work and develop it with 20 hours/week. As work develops further, pray for direction & finances so that she might move to this work full time if it is right.
5. For more counsellors, but the right people, who will commit and share the vision of ECM, plus more male counsellors are vital if we are to work with Lothian Buses.
