“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” Romans 12:4-6

We partner with Soul Food Edinburgh to set a table for our neighbours on The Royal Mile and in Newington, inviting them to join us for a hot takeaway meal on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, in partnership with Carrubbers Church and the City of Edinburgh Methodist Church in Nicolson Square. The meal is particularly for those who are living in isolation or experiencing homelessness.
Soul Food is always more than a meal. We share Soul Food Edinburgh's vision which is centred around the power of a table. By setting a table and sharing a meal, we hope to provide a context that offers a place of safety and security where people feel accepted, respected, valued, loved and heard. During the pandemic restrictions we have been providing the meals as "grab & go" - we are looking forward to being able to sit and eat with one another again.Soul Food
Since 1990 we started this partnership with Bethany Christian Trust to run our Care Van: a mobile unit for food and drink for the homeless in Edinburgh.
