Edinburgh City Mission is led by our CEO, Duncan Cuthill. Duncan was previously Director of Ministries for London City Mission for 12 years.
Our outreach team are called Mission Strengtheners. Sarah (outreach team leader), Natalia, Miles, Andy, Lydia, Teresa, Fiona A. and Sarah W. work in and around Edinburgh running our ministries with our partner volunteers, supporting families who are experiencing deprivation, exclusion and/ or isolation.
Our support team is mainly based at The Coracle, our office. Fiona (office manager), Katie, Catriona, John, Liam, Nathan and Julie work together to help everything function smoothly, raise financial support and spread the word about what we are doing, helping people catch our vision and pray for us.
Duncan Cuthill - CEO
"I believe with all my heart that the city will be transformed by a prayerful, strong, vibrant and growing City Mission which is 'stimulating and strengthening the church’s mission in Edinburgh.'”
Sarah Johnson - Outreach Team Leader
"I followed God’s lead into work for Edinburgh City Mission over 10 years ago. While my role has changed during the last ten years my heart has always been to bring light, open eyes that can’t see and release people from their ‘captivities’."
Fiona Russell - Office Manager
"My role at Edinburgh City Mission brings together so much of my experience, who God has made me to be and what he has put on my heart. I love supporting our amazing outreach team in our vision to stimulate and strengthen the church’s mission in Edinburgh, bringing help and hope into the lives of those experiencing hardship."
Natalia Pelttari - Mission Strengthener (Salaam Team Leader)

Miles Libke - Mission Strengthener (Food+ Team)
"I am a Mission Strengthener because I desire to see people across our city experience the freedom that God has for them in all areas of their life. I have a huge heart for the local church, and seeing the church step into all that she is called to be - that’s why we’re here."
Andy Boyle - Mission Strengthener (Food+ Team)
"I love meeting our guests and hearing their stories. It’s a great opportunity to support and show them the love of Jesus. I constantly talk about what Jesus did for me and how He has transformed me from the man I was to the man I am now with Him living in me."
Fiona Anderson - Mission Strengthener (Food+ Team)
"It's a privilege to work with the Edinburgh City Mission team in seeking to live out the gospel in our city. Every day brings new opportunities to support those in need, offer practical help, encouragement, or simply a listening ear; to walk alongside others and share the reality of God's love."
Julie Young - Development Officer
“I am excited to be part of Edinburgh City Mission’s work showing God’s love throughout our communities. We know more than ever the great challenges of isolation, and the church has a tremendous opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the isolated older people in our city. I look forward to seeing the Gospel transform lives in this space.”
John Denno - Administrative Assistant

Nathan Lang - Communications & Design Assistant
"I’m thankful to have the opportunity to communicate the excellent work that God is doing through Edinburgh City Mission in our city by creating visual and written content. It’s great to put these stories out there and let more and more people join in and partner with the work that God invites us all into - to bring His Kingdom and blessing to people and places on earth."
Katie Bogie - Volunteer Support Worker (Referrals)
"So many people I meet at Newington Foodbank+ are working desperately hard to keep themselves and their families supported, and so often the crisis they are in results from unfortunate circumstances that could happen to anyone at any time.
Each week I find myself admiring the way these hardships are faced with resilience and openness. It is wonderful to be able to sit down with each person at the Foodbank+ to listen, discuss ways to help difficult situations and pray."
